Smartphoto group acquires Webprint from Infestos

Smartphoto group NV, one of the leading European players in photo e-commerce, reached a final agreement on 29 April 2016 with respect to the acquisition of Webprint International BV from investment company Infestos based in Enschede.

Webprint, based in Oldenzaal, The Netherlands, is one of the market leaders in the Netherlands in personal photo products, such as photo books, cards, wall decoration, photo gifts and individual photoprints, which are also offered through the website The company is one of the pioneers in photo prints on the internet and has a great brand recognition in the Netherlands. Webprint had a turnover of approximately € 12 million in 2015.

Through this transaction Smartphoto gains a strong commercial position in the Netherlands and with a combined turnover of more than € 46 million the group demonstrates its European ambition.

This acquisition combines knowledge of the consumer market, customer focus and brand awareness of Webprint with the knowledge of Smartphoto in the field of technology, marketing and production of personal photo products.

The transaction was completed on April 29, 2016. Both the management and all Webprint employees will be part of the Smartphoto group, but continue to operate under the Webprint brand.
