Special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) aiming to unlock a unique investment opportunity in Europe within industries that benefit from strong ESG profiles.
Initiated by Infestos Sustainability BV, ESG Core Investments was the first SPAC in Europe with a dedicated focus on sustainability. Through an initial public offering on Euronext Amsterdam in February 2021, ESG Core Investments raised €250 million to invest in a sustainable European company. The deal was multiple times oversubscribed, and allocation took place predominantly to European long-only investors.
Key criteria for completing a business combination were a clear ESG focus in the core of its business, preferably headquartered in (North-Western) Europe and enjoying a strong competitive position within its industry, based on a unique technology.
